The red-painted metal handrail is mounted on the angle brackets of the ladder, and can be mounted on either side of the ladder, making climbing easier. The rail is available in two lengths, 19 1/4" (50 cm) and 29 1/2" (75 cm). The 19 1/4" (50 cm) handrails are suitable for ladders sections up to 39 1/8" (100 cm) in length, and the 29 1/2" (75 cm) long handrails are suitable for ladders above 39 1/8" (100 cm) in length.
